What do you guys think the possible problems may be given my description and would it be expensive? I really can’t afford to put a lot more money into this car.
I plan on checking the oil level every day and of course listening to the engine to check for it not sounding right. Again, at no point did the light come back on with that beeping or message except for initially.
So I stopped at the pep boys that happened to be right there and bought a couple quarts of oil and filled until the dipstick was in the normal range. I decided to check the oil and the dipstick was pretty much bone dry. At no point did the engine ever sound weird. I cut off the engine since I was at a red light then turned it right back on. A light came on for about 3-5 seconds flashing and beeping and it read something along the lines of low oil pressure, stop engine.
